The DHSS Working Group on Back Pain was established by the Minister of State for Health, Dr. David Owen in 1976 to look at the occurrence of back pain and the effect on working life and its effect on the economy. Senior Medical Officers, Dr Metters and Dr Ower chaired the group and the report was submitted to Dr David Ennals, Secretary of State for Social Services in 1978. |
