CE (Central Economic) Division was created in January 1967 and existed until September 1968 when it was replaced by FI Division, both divisions were set up as co-ordinating areas looking into long term taxation strategy. CE Division was relaunched as FI Division with greater emphasis given on its powers to carry out co-ordinating duties. Before 1967 work on taxation and the Budget was the responsibility of PIO Division. CE records were overstamped on the 2 CE file covers as 2 FI files or created as 2 FI files. |
