Folio 61. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission, to R T Tasker [Richard Thomas Tasker], surgeon, Bromsgrove. Replying to his letter of 14 March 1843 with enclosures relating to the appointment of the medical officer for the first district of the Bromsgrove Poor Law Union. The Commission can not compel the guardians to elect one candidate in preference to another and Mr Fletcher has been appointed in conformance with the Commission's General Medical Order article 5. Paper Number: 3266/B/1843. Poor Law Union Number 526. Counties: Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire. |
