Administrative / biographical background:

The Overseas Co-ordination Division was set up in 1958 on the dissolution of the Home and Overseas Planning Division. It dealt with the economic aspects of relations with various European bodies. It also provided support for the Overseas Negotiation Committee. In 1962 the Division was abolished, its responsibilities passing to the Overseas and Co-ordination Division of the Finance Group.
