Among the subjects covered are: Agricultural Research Council, forestry (except Home Grown Timber Production Department), Ordnance Survey, Development Commission, agriculture producer prices, supply questions on fisheries, food policy including overseas food procurement and imports, food subsidies, price stabilisation and wages policy, and remuneration of food manufacturers and distributors.
Also includes files of the S (T 161) series, which were reregistered in the AF series in 1948.

Administrative / biographical background:
The Agriculture and Food (AF) Division was set up in 1946. In 1958 AF Division was amalgamated with the Trade and Industry (TI) Division, after the latter had transferred some of its functions to Home and Overseas Planning Staff (HOPS) Division. The new Division was called the Agriculture, Trade and Transport (AT) Division.
