Description:

High Court of Admiralty.

Captured ship: Reyzen Jacob (master Friedrich Matthias Thiel).

History: a Swedish merchant ship (dogger, 76 Swedish lasts, 2 carriage guns, 9 men), bound from Wismar, Swedish Pomerania to Cadiz, laden with wheat and a small parcel of barley; taken on 18th June 1780 about 22 miles eastward of Cape Finisterre by HMS Romney (Rodham Horne commanding) and the privateer Enterprize (Thomas Eden commanding) and brought into Lisbon.
