History: a French merchant ship (380 tons, 2 guns, 26 men), bound from Cap Francois, Saint Domingue to Bordeaux, laden with sugar, cotton, tobacco, coffee, cocoa and indigo; taken on 10 October 1779 by the privateer Ranger (Daniel Dale commanding), and brought first into Kinsale and then into Bristol..
