Administrative / biographical background: |
The Archive Awareness Campaign (AAC) began in September 2003 and was originally designed to address issues of under representation of UK archives, particularly in comparison with the museum, gallery and library sectors. The Campaign was organised and funded by the Archives and Records Association (ARA) (previously The National Council on Archives), the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council, and The National Archives (TNA). It was co-ordinated by The National Archives. The Campaign disbanded at the end of 2012. |
