Initial sentence: Death. Annotated: 'Considered at Report in Council 17 Aug 1831'. Petitioner(s): Thomas Horner Stone (the convict), undersigned by Charles Rugg (one of the prosecutors) and 21 inhabitants of East London; Thomas Horner Stone undersigned by Charles Rugg and William Barrett (joint prosecutors) and 17 inhabitants of east London. Grounds for clemency: Previous good character; he has a wife and two young children entirely dependent upon his labour; his first offence. |
