Culm Valley Light Railway Company was incorporated under Culm Valley Light Railway Act 15th May 1873.

The company was sold and transferred to Great Western Railway Company under provisions of Bristol and Exeter Railway Act 19th July 1875, arrangement being effected in April 1880. Its last meeting was held on 3rd November 1882 at which the chairman declared company to be dissolved, pursuant to provisions of Bristol and Exeter Railway Act 1875.
