The Aylesbury Railway Company was incorporated under the Aylesbury Railway Company Act of 19th May 1836. The company was responsible for the construction of track and railway sheds in and around Aylesbury.

In 1846, the company was vested in the London and Birmingham Railway Company. In the same year, the London and Birmingham Railway Company, the Grand Junction, and the Manchester & Birmingham railway companies were amalgamated by the Act of 16th July 1846 to form London and North Western Railway Company.
