This series consists mainly of transcripts and photocopies of records from a variety of sources, which it was not convenient to classify separately.

These include:

  • copies of photographs taken for the French Government of the Gascon Rolls, 39 Henry III to 18 Edward II
  • some keys to 16th century Venetian ciphers received from Signor Luigi Pasini in 1875
  • a translation of an Extent of the Island of Jersey in 5 Edward III
  • a volume containing excerpts of records relating to Windsor Castle from the earliest period to 9 Edward III, etc
  • a catalogue of the Carte MSS in the Bodleian Library, Oxford
  • copies of a report of the Duke of Wellington to the King of the Netherlands following Waterloo
  • working papers, etc, of Sir Thomas Duffus Hardy and others relating to materials for British history and printed proofs, etc in connection with W H Black's uncompleted work on the 'Iter Britanniarum', which had been intended for publication in the Rolls Series.
