Administrative / biographical background: |
Mr William H Bliss, an editor employed by the Public Record Office (PRO), assembled transcripts from references supplied to him by Commendatore Fumi, the Director of the Archives at Milan. After Bliss's death in 1909, work at Milan was continued on the PRO's behalf by Mr Allen B Hinds. |
