Catalogue description Public Record Office: Summaries of Records

The summary of records is a list of all series of public records, arranged under their departments (record groups) in order of their numerical references.

In addition to the series reference and title, the copies preserved here include the covering dates and the number of the last piece in each series. They also show the location (at the time) of the various series within the department.

Some departments contain alphabetical indexes to their series.
