Annotated: To be pardoned conditionally, that is to have liberty within the colony. Petitioner(s): William Rice, prisoner, with a supporting note from the Chief Justice T E Pedder. Grounds for clemency: Has led a blameless life in Van Diemen's Land serving as a constable for four years. Others convicted with him served shorter sentences. Other papers: Description of the case.
