The National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM) was established in 1996 and aims to meet the professional aspirations and needs of all teachers of mathematics and realise the potential of learners through a sustainable national infrastructure for mathematics-specific continuing professional development. NCETM is funded by the Department for Education (DfE); the initiative is managed on behalf of the DfE by Tribal Education Ltd.
