Folios 12-21: Manufacture of munitions in Chief Mechanical Engineers' shops. Letter by Gilbert S Szlumper dated 24 May 1939 to Sir James Milne, Southern Railway regarding War Office approach to Southern Railway Company to undertake munition work at Eastleigh, (folios 14, 17-18, 20-21).

Folios 22-41, 43, 48: Manufacture of Motor Lorry Bodies for the War Office. Letter dated 26 May 1938 to C B Collett, Chief Mechanical Engineet, Great Western Railway regarding the sending of drawings of lorry bodies, (folio 43).

Folios 42, 44: Manufacture of 2 Pounder Anti-Tank Mountings.

Folio 55: Letter of 20 May 1938 from the Director of Mechanisation, War Office, regarding manufacture of gun mountings and the design of a 3.7 Howitzer and 303 machine gun coaxial.

Folios 58-60: Note of meeting held at Fielden House, Great College Street, Westminster on Monday 16 May 1938 between General Managers, Chief Mechanical Engineers and War Office representatives to discuss munition production in Railway workshops, placing of peace orders with the Railway Companies, what the companies could do in war and the working of short time in the workshops. Duplicated on folios 65-68.
