Description:

John Preswick, Humphrey Hayden, Samuel Gower, London, Contractors for canvas. Mr. Peacock is a Clerk at the Board of Trade of Plantations and has not manufactured any sailcloth for years, neither is he an agent or factor. The part of the last contract which was allowed him he offered to sundry manufacturers for certain premiums and at last agreed for some trifling consideration with a William Page of Reading to supply it. Such contracts as these are obviously prejudicial to the manufacturer in general and hope the Board will not allow such people to contract with you
