This series contains files of the Ministry of National Insurance and successors relating to some of the problems arising out of the implementations of the provisions of the National Insurance Act 1946 and the National Insurance (Industrial Injuries) Act 1946. The series includes the arrangements which had to be made for the transfer in stages of approved societies' records and the payment of benefit to their members. As well, there are two files relating to the possibility of granting retirement pensions to single women at the age of fifty-five years, and two files relating to medical certification. |
