Reference: OS 27
Title: Ordnance Survey: Boundaries Branch: Boundary Sketch Maps
Description:

This series consists of skeleton maps drawn in manuscript and showing boundaries (mostly parish) and related ground features as originally recorded in the boundary remark books. The area covered was usually a parish or several adjoining parishes. The maps relate to English, Welsh and Scottish boundaries. There are many gaps in the maps relating to Kent and Northumberland, very few maps relating to Lancashire and no maps relating to Yorkshire. It is believed that these maps never in fact existed.
