Description:

Ernest ADAM, aliases Mikulas BEDVEA, Mikulas BEDAM, Nickolas ADAM, Nickolas BEDAM: Czech/German. ADAM's communist views caused him to leave Germany in 1933 to work as a journalist in Paris and he then served in the International Brigade in Spain as adjutant to General KLEBER. He later worked in Paris with Willy MUENZENBERG and in 1940 was recruited by Sefton DELMER to work in the Political Warfare Executive in the UK.
