Wolfgang Hans Friedrich BLAUM, aliases Friedrich BAUMANN, Friedrich BLAUM, Federico, Arpinius: German. BLAUM was an Abwehr officer in Madrid between 1941 and 1945 with particular responsibility for sabotage and other covert operations against Allied shipping and targets in Gibraltar and elsewhere. He was captured and interrogated in 1945, and this file contains a detailed account, derived from his interrogation, of Abwehr operations in the Iberian sabotage context, including the German personnel involved and the extent of Spanish complicity

Note: Serial 9a: summary of BLAUM's career. Serial 10a: BLAUM considered to be 'the best informed person on matters of sabotage and insurrection in the Iberian peninsula'. Serial 11a: a very full report on operations in and around Spain conducted by BLAUM's Abwehr unit (Referat 11 KO.
