Description: |
Robert Gordon SWITZ / Marjorie Tilley SWITZ: American. Robert SWITZ was probably recruited as a Russian agent in the United States in 1931. He was sent by his controllers to London in 1931 and subsequently to Paris where he and his wife became members of a Russian spy ring. The SWITZ's and other members of the group were arrested at the end of 1933. This file also contains papers on Lydia STAHL, a Russian by birth and long term agent, who was a key member of the same network which was often referred to as the 'STAHL group', although STAHL was not actually its leader |
