Franz MAYER, alias Mayr: German. MAYR was an SD officer and controller of a group of German agents located in southern Persia. He was captured in Tehran in 1943 together with six other group members, three of whom were radio operators. Detailed reports on the 'Franz Gruppe', based on the interrogation of its members and on documents seized, are included. The file contains useful information about the SD. Supp A contains documents of MAYR's capture in 1942, including his journal for 1941/42, amplified by his interrogation in 1943. Supp B contains details of sabotage equipment used |
