Investigations into leakage of information to the German Intelligence Service from British Embassy Ankara (CICERO case). File documents MI5's efforts after the event to piece together facts relating to a serious wartime espionage case involving the leakage of Allied secrets which, it became apparent from the interrogation of German prisoners, had occurred in Turkey in 1943 and 1944. The perpetrator was the valet to the British Ambassador, codenamed CICERO. The file includes a definitive summary of the case, written in 1979 by a research assistant to the official history 'British Intelligence in the Second World War'
