Organisation and functions of SIME Special Section (1942-1945): key documents originating in Security Intelligence Middle East (SIME) which were salvaged from the files of the SIME Special Section before they were destroyed after the Second World War. Thedocuments cover the establishment and organisation of the Special Section, which ran double agents against the Abwehr in the Middle East; double and triple agent methodology; and a selection of plans for both actual and proposed deception operations (mostly Middle Eastern but some UK-based). There are also summaries of double agent cases, in particular CHEESE, and some papers relating to the 44 Committee in Italy |
