This series consists of files and summarised statistics drawn from quarterly, annual, biennial and triennial road traffic censuses carried out on class I and class II and trunk roads throughout Great Britain, and include particulars for each census points.

Most of these summaries were not shown separately in the published reports on traffic censuses, although they were available for public inspection in various offices of the Ministry.

Enumerators' returns have not survived.
