Description: |
Paul SKOROPADSKI; Danylo SKOROPADSKI: Ukrainian. Paul SKOROPADSKI was Hetman of the Ukraine from April to August,1918. He was installed by the German Army and possibly also as a result of an elective process. When he was deposed he fled to Berlin. There was further evidence of collaboration with the Germans in the 1930's, but his support for Hitler in the Second World War may have been partially motivated by his anti-Moscow stance. The file contains some papers referring to his son, Danylo, who lived in this country during the war. |
