Description: |
Arthur Thomas KNAPMAN: British. Recruited by the Abwehr in 1941 as a paid agent, KNAPMAN established himself first in Barcelona then in Lisbon from where, he later claimed, he was abducted by the Gestapo to spend the rest of the war in Dachau. It was later shown that his move from Lisbon to Germany had been voluntary. Nor was his claim to have spent the rest of the war in a concentration camp ever established as fact |
