The Committee on Safety of Drugs was set up in 1963 and was replaced in 1968 by the Committee on Safety of Medicines following the Medicines Act, 1968. The secretariat was supplied by the Medicines, Food and Environmental Health Division of the Department of the Department of Health and Social Security Branch 2 established the same year. Analysis and professional advice was provided by the Medical PE3 Division. |
