Reference: KV 2/284
Description:

Otto WAGNER, alias Dr. DELIUS, CUNO, DELI, HOFFMANN: a pre-war Abwehr recruit, WAGNER'S main area of operations was S.E. Europe, covering Russia, Yugoslavia and Greece. He was based in Sofia 1940-1944, Budapest 1944. Venice 1944-1945 and finally Stuttgart, from where he gave himself up to the French in May,1945. The file reflects WAGNER'S main knowledge of the KLATT network and of the MAX/MORITZ traffic, regarded as probably the Abwehr's best source of intelligence on Russian activities in the Caucasus, but in fact possibly a Russian disinformation operation.
