Folios 234-237. Letter from George Rose [joint secretary to the Treasury] at Cuffnells [Lyndhurst, Hampshire] enclosing an application which he feared would arrive too late. Enclosed is a letter of 29 July to Rose from Andrew Cochrane interceding for James King Keeling, due for execution on 1 August, convicted of robbing Mr Howarth's house in Berkeley Street [Mayfair, Westminster], the prosecutor recommending mercy.
