Note from Mr. Brett to Philip Stephens. A similar petition to that you enclosed was presented to the Board on Friday. The men who presented it were seeking pay for the time of their passage on board a transport in which they were invalided from North America. They could not be paid immediately for want of a list of names signed by the Master as proof of their identity. Corrected to end of page. |
