Vice Admiral Lord Howe to John Holman. John Hunter, Master Attendant at New York, has asked to continue in his former post as Master of HMS Eagle and that another is appointed in his place. Your are hereby authorised and directed to take upon you the employment of Master Attendant of HM Naval yard at New York. You are to be further governed by orders to be received from me or any other senior commander at this port in my absence. Enclosure. |
