Content: Folios 132-133. Workhouse Inspection Report Form from Mr Gulson [Edward Gulson], Assistant Poor Law Commissioner, to the Poor Law Commission, reporting his inspection of the Axminster Poor Law Union Workhouse on 15 May 1847; includes details of medical provision, management of the school, the vagrant wards, numbers of inmates. He notes that the master and matron are paying more attention to the order and cleanliness and management of the workhouse then on his last visit.
