Content: Folios 262-263. Letter from H B Farnall, Poor Law Inspector, to the Poor Law Board, telling them that the averages he took for Cardiff Poor Law Union were indeed sent to the Cardiff board of guardians and were approved by them. He encloses a letter from the clerk to the guardians [Thomas Watkins] on the subject. Watkins' letter of 30 November states that the averages were received and approved by the guardians, and reminds Farnall that the guardians wish allowances to be made in the averages for the high number of vagrant and irremovable poor which are chargeable to the union. Annotated: order declaring new averages sent 12 December 1848. Paper Number: 30086/1848. Poor Law Union Number 613. Counties: Glamorganshire and Monmouthshire.
