Henry Budd, Guernsey. Copy letter to the Governor of Guernsey. General Conway has directed William Budd to hire an armed vessel to carry live cattle to Jersey and Henry Budd has hired the Lark, Thomas Welford, Master, to carry out similar duties for Guernsey. Copy letter from Governor Irving in reply stating that he had no orders to take up a vessel to carry cattle but does not doubt that he would be paid for it as the supplies were very necessary. |
