John Clewer, Calcot. Lord Anson intended to contract for timber fit for the Service on Soberton estate and has asked for it to be viewed and reported by Mr. Benson the Purveyor, for Portsmouth. The report was delivered to Commissioner Hughes but his Lordship chose to dispose of the timber to a merchant so the report was not sent for your approval. Has purchased the timber standing and asks to contract for it, for delivery by Michaelmas 1753 |
