Content: Folios 625-626. Letter from Joseph Lowndes, Clerk to the Guardians of Wolstanton and Burslem Union, to the Poor Law Board, in reply to their letters of 1 October 1851 and 20 November 1851 regarding the number of persons vaccinated by public vaccinators in the union for the year ended 29 September 1851. The delay in replying did not originate in his office. Enclosed is a completed vaccination extension act return showing the names, districts and numbers of persons vaccinated by public vaccinators. It is noted that many children are vaccinated by other medical practitioners. The names of the vaccinators are: Samuel Goddard, Daniel Ball, Joseph Walker, John Morris, John Mare Harrison, Isaac Booth, Samuel Mayer Turner, Charles Thomas Davenport, James Troutbeck and Edward Hadduck.
