Content: Folios 3-4. Workhouse inspection report from John Manwaring, Poor Law Board Inspector for Liverpool Parish Workhouse on 29 December 1850 and 1 January 1851, which includes details of medical provision, management of the school, the vagrant wards, numbers of inmates. Three matters are raised: Copies of the regulations respecting disorderly and refractory paupers should have been suspended in the dining hall and school rooms but were not. The porter was not entering the names and businesses of all visitors in the proper book as required by Article 79 of the Commission Order dated 27 April 1843. Several beds of the children were in an improper condition caused by their wetting them at night. Annotated: prepare letter and send draft to [Alfred Austin, Poor Law Inspector].
