Content: Folio 122. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission, to Harry White, Clerk to the Guardians of the Blything Poor Law Union, in response to their letter of 2 September 1836, with two enclosures. The draft letter states the order to stop outdoor relief to able-bodied males had not been sanctioned and therefore the course pursued by the board of guardians was illegal. Dr Kay [James Phillips Kay, Assistant Poor Law Commissioner], will visit the Board at their meeting on 19 September 1836 to discuss future proceedings. Paper Number: 3529/A/1836.
