Content: Folios 110-113. Letter from Harry White, Clerk to the Guardians of the Blything Poor Law Union, to Edwin Chadwick, Secretary to the Poor Law Commission, with enclosures, relating to migration and for the attention of Mr Muggeridge. The board of guardians are unable to state which family or children will be willing to migrate until offers of work are made, nor can they say what arrangements will be required if the children need to be admitted to the workhouse. The first enclosure is Form three giving a list of all creditable widows and their families belonging to the union [not included]. The second enclosure, obtained from the relieving officer, is a return from the governor of the workhouse stating which resident children are capable of work [not included]. Annotated: a list of paupers and children in the workhouse. A copy of this to be sent to Muggeridge. Paper Number: 3528/A/1836. Poor Law Union Number 432. Counties: Suffolk.
