Content: Folios 30-31. Letter from Thomas Gibson Magistrate. Theberton, Saxmundham, on behalf of the overseers of parish of Theberton, to the Poor Law Commission. He draws their attention to the accounts ending March 1836 and to the two sums which the auditor disallowed viz £16 9s 6d and £2 19s 6d. Gibson states the amounts were used for the emigration of certain poor persons in April 1836 and that the forms and regulations relating to emigration had not been received from the Poor Law Commission at that time. The expenses did have the full sanction of the board of guardians. Annotated: they must go through the forms now and make the process as regular as they can. Send forms. 10 Jan 1837.
