Content: Folio 380. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to Henry Saunders, Clerk to the Guardians of the Kidderminster Poor Law Union, regarding lunatics in workhouse. They refer to his letter of 9 March 1846. They have communicated with the Commissioners in Lunacy who recommend, having considered the report, dated 3 March 1846, by Mr Thomas Thursfield [Medical Officer Kidderminster Poor Law Union], and following a visit by two of their members, that the three lunatics [Henry Smith, William Johnson and Josiah Clarke] should be immediately removed to a lunatic asylum for their own good and the comfort of the paupers with whom they are associated.
