Content: Folios 37-38. Letter from Godfrey and Son, Millers of Kidderminster, to the Poor Law Commission regarding supply of flour. They contracted with the Union to supply flour at 6s 2d per bushel. They put in a bid for the ensuing quarter ending June at 6s 4d per bushel. They are at a loss to understand why another party has been given the contract at 6s 8d per bushel. They enclose a piece of bread [not included] taken from the workhouse and made from flour they supplied. Annotated: write to the contractors that the guardians are not bound to accept the lowest bid nor can the Poor Law Commission interfere on a decision made by the guardians.
