Content: Folios 429-430. Letter from the Reverend Stephen Clissold, Rector of Wrentham, Blything Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, enclosing printed circulars regarding bastards, together with the Task Work Resolutions and certificate [none enclosed]. The board are seeking approval from the Poor Law Commission, for their four resolutions relating to Bastardy Orders, which are listed, because they are contrary to those of the magistrates. Clarification is also sought of the practical application of the Orders and Regulations, in particular section 19 rule 3, and section 21 rule 5. They relate to the relief given to paupers and bastards who are not residing in the union. Poor Law Union Number 432. Counties: Suffolk.
