Content: Folio 354. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to the Reverend Henry Edward Knatchbull, Vicar of North Elmham, acknowledging his letter regarding a man belonging to the parish lately marrying his wife's niece, whose husband, a transported convict, was still alive and whose late settlement was the parish of Reepham. Knatchbull asked if a prosecution may not be instituted against the parties in the name of and at the expense of the parish; the parties though not actually in receipt of relief being liable to become paupers as a result of the marriage.
