Letter from J and W Rees Mogg [John Rees Mogg and William Rees Mogg], Clerks to the Guardians of the Clutton Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, in respect of the sale of parish property at Midsomer Norton, and forwarding a resolution of the vestry meeting and notice of convening meeting and a certificate of same having been held. Enclosures: Sale of Parish Property: 'Renewed Order for Sale' of several tenements or cottages to the west of the orchard being part of Midsomer Norton Parsonage. Poor Law Commission acting through John George Shaw Lefevre with authority to sell to George Agen subject to payment of an annuity for Mary Ann Taylor being paid to Robert Taylor Spooner Abraham as agreed with Henry Smith and Thomas Smith, Churchwardens in 1826. Sale of Parish Property: Notice of Meeting to consent to liquidation of parish debt. Signed by John Smith and John Thatcher, Churchwardens, and James Hall and Henry Thatcher, Overseers.
