Description:
Content: Folios 122-123. Letter from Andrew Bell, of Amble Hope House, near Alnwick, to the Poor Law Commission [Poor Law Board], concerning a dispute about the sum at which owners of the tithe rent charge should be rated in the Poor and Highway Books in the township of Twisel [Twizel, in the Berwick-upon-Tweed Union]. According to an enclosed paper [not included], the tithe owner's rate includes a 5% deduction in the commutation sum to cover [agency expense].
