Content: Folio 535. Letter from George Spencer, Clerk to the Guardians of the Keighley Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Board, regarding Thomas Pearson, Assistant Overseer and Collector for the townships of Sutton and Steeton. The overseers of Sutton informed the Board of their dissatisfaction with the manner in which he carried out his duties. As a result, Thomas Pearson has resigned and the guardians request the approval of the Board. Annotated: Thomas Pearson appointment notified in December 1851 as Collector and Assistant Overseer of Sutton and Steeton of at a salary of £22 13s 4d. Paper Number: 952/1855.
